Appearance
Project settings
Tap the gear on a project's card on the Home tab.
Project
- Name is the display name. Two projects may share one; the screen only points it out.
- Folder shows where the project lives on the device.
- Repository URL is the project's one remote,
origin. Tap the pencil to change it, with the same URL editor as the clone screen. A project has exactly one remote. - Read-only mode stops editing, staging and commits. On the free plan it is on for every git project and cannot be turned off; see Getting started.
- Manage storage opens the storage screen.
Authentication
Require authentication reveals the credential picker, where you pick an access token, OAuth sign-in or SSH identity and can Test it against the URL. Push and fetch use this credential and no other. An SSH server's trusted host key lives with the server under Settings → SSH Servers; see SSH keys.
Git
User Name and User Email override the identity from Settings → Git for this project's commits. Leave them empty to use the global one.
Storage
The storage screen scans the project when opened and shows the total with a bar split three ways:
- Working files: the checked-out files.
- Git data: packed objects, loose objects, and the rest of the repository's own data.
- History index: the commit index that search and the dashboard read, with its commit, file and revision counts. It appears once something has built it. Delete index removes it; the next search or dashboard visit builds it again.
Every action rescans, so the numbers are always measured, never adjusted. Compacting the repository's git data is not offered yet.
Save and delete
Save applies the changes. Delete Project removes the folder, the project's record and its cached data, including any shelf entries, after a confirm. It cannot be undone; anything not pushed is gone.
